As a passionate bicyclist and an active guy studying and working in a big city where dangers are always beneath the traffic. My motivation is to provide safety accessories for urban shifts based on my bike commuting experience.
Problems
Commuting via bicycle has always been a popular way to travel from point A to point B. With regulations and city constructions commuting via cycle has also become safer for drivers and cyclists. One thing that still needs improvement is the way users secure their cycle and the accessories attached to their cycle.
According to a survey made by World Resource Institute among 12 cities in China, cyclists generally had a low perception of safety, with only 7% of respondents saying cycling was safe.
Product Analysis
To design new safety equipment, the first thing is to check existing products to study what kinds of gear bicyclists need and how they protect the users by market research on bike accessories for safety considerations. Most products and accessories for cyclists have improved for better use and quality. Finally, I chose to design a safety accessory for preventing crashes and accidents from happening. And I wanted to start with the rear light bike gear.

Design
The inspiration came from the parking sensor of cars. The sensor would make a sound when obstacles are close enough to damage the car. Besides, the sound will vary according to the distance, closer for higher frequency and farther for lower frequency sound.
